It would help me if you can confirm the active chemical ingredients of the polish you are suggesting please. My previous guitar was a second hand 1964 Ramirez, the finish of which was spoiled by a small discolouration on the lower section of the Brazilian rosewood back - undoubtedly caused by incorrect polish used by the previous owner. I understand I need a polish without silicones or alcohol, which is the reason I am very cautious in approaching this question. Novus #1 was recommended for everything from fibreglass curtains to motor vehicles and bike crash helmets! So is this the same product romanticguitars is putting on a french polished surface? Forgive me if I sound unconvinced but I am dealing with a Shellac/Gum Arabic product here which is absorbent to certain chemicals.
I did a search on ‘Novus Polish’ and was inundated with returns for Novus Plastic Polish or car polish!
